The secret is in the rye. Prior to prohibition, New York was recognized for cultivating some of the country’s finest rye which, in turn, led to equally incredible rye whiskey. Rye thrives in our Northeastern climate and lends its amazing qualities to our craft distilled spirits.
Saratoga Springs Bourbon Whiskey
The Saratoga Springs take on America’s contribution to the world of Whiskey, our Bourbon is made with a blend of corn and rye.
On the nose, pleasant notes of caramel, honey and orange. On the palate, it is very smooth, with soft and round notes of caramel and toffee and with a long lasting spicy finish. It’s aged in American White Oak barrels made by Adirondack Barrel Cooperage for at least one year.
Saratoga In The Rye
Unapologetically rye, our Rye is made with 100 percent New York grown organic rye.
It starts on the nose with rich notes of spices, pepper, caramel and toasted bread. On the palate, it continues with notes of spices, coffee, caramel, and finishes with a delicate peppery character. It’s aged in American White Oak barrels made by Adirondack Barrel Cooperage for at least one year.
A note on Rye – Bourbon is to Kentucky as Rye is to New York. We are proud to have joined other New York Farm Distilleries to promote Rye Whiskey as New York’s signature whiskey by agreeing to distill our Saratoga in the Rye to the standards set by the Empire Rye Whiskey Association (https://www.empirerye.com/standards/). Our first bottles bearing their mark will become available in 2019.
